Q. How does the 100 Free Minutes work? A. You will receive 100 free state to state minutes in your third months bill. Q. How will I know if I'm switched to OPEX? A. Just call (toll free) 1-700-555-OPEX (6739). If the order has been provisioned and switched properly you will hear "Thank you for making OPEX your Long distance company". If it has been more than 72 hours and this is not the case please check to see if you have a pic freeze on the line with your local phone company. Q. Will I have to pay a Toll Free Service Fee? A. No, this fee is only for those who order Toll-Free Numbers. Q. Should I tell my local phone company about the service change? A. No. OPEX will notify your local carrier. If you have a PIC freeze on your line you should call to remove it. Q. What do I do if I miss my verification call? A. Just go to our order form and re-enter your order. (You will not have to re-enter the entire order, just your phone, email, and zip code.) Our software will detect that you are already in the system, and prompt you to trigger another verification call. Q. What are the billing increments? A. With 2.9¢ your calls are billed in 60 second increments. With 2.9¢ your calls are billed in 6 second increments (18 second minimum). Q. Under what name will the charges appear on my phone bill? A. Customers will receive a separate statement directly from OPEX. Q. What are OPEX PICC and USF fees? A. FCC imposed USF fee of 8.7% and a PICC fees apply: $3.25/line for additional Commercial lines (the first commercial line and all residential lines are free of charge). Q. Does OPEX offer calling cards? A. Yes. The rate is $.149 per minute. There is no connection charge, however there is a $0.35 surcharge when used from a payphone. There is a $.99 set up fee per card. Q. Does OPEX credit switching fees? A. Yes. You must call customer service (number will be provided on your order confirmation) and tell them the amount per line and total charge on your local phone bill attributed to switching fees. You will receive a credit for that amount on your next OPEX long distance bill. Q. What are the charges for toll free numbers? $2.00 a month for the first line and $0.53 a month for each additional toll free line. Q. How long should provisioning take? A.
